Let shoppers help themselves — and get the right answer in seconds

The Customer Kiosk is a self-service station shoppers walk up to and simply ask aloud. Words appear on screen as they speak, and a complete, store-aware answer — stock, price, specifications and a lit-up route to the exact shelf — arrives in seconds. It works unattended, in ten spoken languages, and every question feeds the same central analytics loop.

Why head office puts a kiosk on the floor

A second pair of hands that never leaves the aisle

The Kiosk gives every shopper an instant, store-aware answer without waiting for an associate — and gives head office a measurable, consistent service level across the estate.

  • A complete, store-aware answer in seconds, not minutes — stock, price, specifications and the exact aisle, without waiting for an associate to be free.
  • Live transcription as the shopper speaks. Words appear on screen word by word, so the shopper sees they are understood before they have finished the sentence.
  • Ten spoken languages, detected automatically. One tap on a flag switches both the screen and the speech recognition for that session — and the on-screen experience ships in 13 languages.
  • It works unattended. The Kiosk answers around the clock during opening hours, on its own, without tying up a member of staff.
  • It puts an in-stock alternative in front of the shopper when the requested item is out of stock or not carried — turning a definite walkout into a possible sale, at the moment of decision.
  • Every answer asks for a verdict. A thumbs-up or thumbs-down on each answer flows into the central analytics, so satisfaction is measured, not assumed.
The shopper journey

From hello to answer in four screens

No menus, no typing, nothing to learn. The Kiosk carries a shopper from a spoken question to a routed answer in one continuous motion.

The kiosk welcome screen: branded idle state with example questions

Welcome

A branded idle screen with example questions and language flags — an open invitation to just ask.

The kiosk listening: live words appearing on screen as the shopper speaks

Listening

An animated beacon while the shopper speaks — and their words appearing on screen, live, as they say them.

The kiosk thinking: the stage-synced progress bar while the answer is found

Understanding

A progress bar that tracks the real pipeline — listening, understanding, finding, found — not a fake spinner.

Walk up and ask

The shopper speaks; the store answers

There is nothing to learn and nothing to type. A shopper walks up, asks in their own words, and the Kiosk replies with a complete, store-aware answer in seconds. Follow-ups work the way conversation does — "anything cheaper?" refines the answer by voice, or with one tap on a suggestion chip already on screen.

  • Natural spoken questions, no menus to navigate.
  • Tappable follow-up suggestions under every answer.
  • Purpose-built Danish and Nordic understanding, tuned to your catalogue, keeps the fast answer the correct one.

The 2.5D map highlights the exact aisle — across floors

Every answer is paired with wayfinding. The Kiosk's 2.5D store map highlights the right zone and draws the route to it — and in a multi-floor store, the route rides the escalator from one stacked floor to the next. When the requested item is out of stock or not carried, the right alternative is already on screen, turning a dead end into a sale.

"Show me fridges" gets a browsable answer, not a guess

Ask for a product family and the Kiosk answers with a sortable, pageable list — in-stock first, ordered by relevance or price with one tap — instead of gambling on a single pick. Ask for one product and the answer card carries the price, the stock state and the specifications that matter, with a detail view one touch away.

It runs on its own, on the store's own hardware

The Kiosk is a fixed self-service station that needs no one standing beside it. Speech recognition, the language model and the product search all run on hardware inside the building, so no voice audio or transcript ever leaves it — and the Kiosk keeps its last-published look and keeps answering even with the internet down.

  • On-premise by architecture — no voice audio or transcript leaves the building. See how it works →
  • Runs as a dedicated appliance or as a thin client on standard hardware.
  • Its screens are designed centrally in the Console's UI Designer and published to the floor with one click.

A station shoppers actually approach

Placed where shoppers naturally have questions — at the entrance, by a department, at the heart of the aisle — the Kiosk invites the many people who would rather help themselves than wait. It is a calm, consistent presence on the floor that answers the same way every time, in every store across the estate.
